As the sun dawned on another day it had been nothing special, the only thing it had noted was the start of Khy's second week working on training and learning techniques, on the first one he had spent all of his time making sure that his Supersonic cannon was more accurate so that he could easily hit any part on a body no matter how small the specific point might be, such as a persons eyeball. Without mind how one might no that it was more important to focus on the technique that he would be training on this week, although it couldn't be any more different from what he had spent his time before on. It was time for him to focus on his ability to sense the Ki in other life forms as to gauge their power as well as attempt to figure out when and where his allies could be.
Khyrop had already been trained in controlling his own power level and hiding it to the point that others would have trouble finding him, although he usually used it to hide amongst groups if it was ever needed. However, this had been natural to him and something he had never had to train so it wasn't until recently that he thought about the Ki in others and how it would be useful to sense others incase they were enemies, allies, or incase they could sense his. Without complete certainity there was an unxplained feeling to him that it would bother him if others could sense him and he couldn't sense them.
Despite the anxiety this might cause him were he not completely fueled by his eagerness to learn and work on techniques, treating them as though they were scientific experiments whose results he wanted to observe as much as possible. In this case he did too, although it would easily be described as more spiritual in how people could look at it. Even he couldn't help but acknowledge this angle as the book he found on the subject that seemed to describe it as reaching out into the world and grabbing others ki.
However, even if it seemed ridiculous and was most likely an exaggeration based off a feeling someone felt and wasn't sure how to explain because they weren't all that informed on Ki it did have a bit of merit to it. With his training dummy filled with Ki and moving around their obstacle course he had built the week prior it would as a perfect exercise for him to try and find creatures based on their energy rather then relying on both eyes and ears to do it. While he would train this method to its peak he wasn't going to abandon his senses as he knew that having more sharpened tools in his arsenal were better than just one super sharpened one.
"Hmm, this guy never wants to make it easy for me does he." Khyrop said to himself as he perched on one of the fake buildings in their obstacle course. His claws were digging into the stone as he closed his eyes and folded his ears over trying to not let them give away the answer to where. "Alright, now let's see if I can get this."
There was nothing but darkness and vibration as he cut off both his sight and hearing from the rest of the world hoping that he would be able to sense the dummy. While it would've been practical for it to keep hiding around quietly until it was sensed that wouldn't be much fun or a way to challenge him into learning the technique. No, instead he would find himself at the mercy of the dummy as even with all his effort he wouldn't notice as it snuck up behind him with a ki-blast charging in his hand. In mere seconds it was soaring through the air and hit Khy in the back of the head, it immediately would cause him to let out a soft grunt but he wouldn't move from his position.
This sort of thing would start to happen more and more as the seconds passed, however, Khy wasn't just taking them for no purpose as the feeling of Ki crashing against him was slowly giving him understanding of what the book was trying to teach him.. With a deep breath he focused himself with his sense cut off once again until he felt a small spark or vibration before whipping his head towards a corner. With the seconds warning he was able to fire a ki blast of his own as he peaked around it causing him to get beaned in the forehead like it had been the week prior.
A small smirk would spread across his lips as he felt this happen, he wouldn't open his eyes or ears just yet knowing full well that he had just gotten lucky this time. No theory could be proven until it was proven over and over again under difference circumstances. His training technique was just like this as he wouldn't let any of his moves be used or stop being practiced in rapid succession until he had gotten to test it out in a variety of scenarios and weeding out any and all variables so that way he would be prepared for them.
"Mm I think its supposed to be more effective than this." Khy whispered under his breath as he took personal notes thinking about how it still only felt like a slight vibration or pulse in the distance no matter how close it was. In his mind there was some sort of trick that he hadn't figured out just yet. "I know that I just gotta keep it up, something will click soon if I do."
As his thoughts were shifted from how he was failing to that he was going to complete it as long as he kept us his dedication and confidence it occured to him to try something a little different. Instead of letting them restart everytime he got hit or something Khy would keep taking the blasts while he sat where he was using the oppurtunity to feel it out and pinning it against everything else he was taking in. For him it wasn't merely sensing their Ki it was sensing them for who they were and who they could be, it was channeling the energy of the world and trying to find out how whatever he needed to find would stand out from the rest of them in a massive sea of endless energy.
In a way it was almost humorous to him as he thought about how he had gotten good at hiding his own power level but had never considered trying to find others, he wondered if this was his ego or not but it wasn't important for long so he soon let it pass. It was easier for him to make himself as good as he believed rather than humbling himself due to his nature. His mind and body focusing in on his task as he let it overtake him as he would soon lose track of time in this process.
In the end not only would his first, or second day of training end like this, no in fact he would find most of his days ending like this as he just found himself confused by the noise of the energy coming from everything in the world around them from plants to people and it had become impossible to distinguish the noise from one another. The experience had caused enough stress that when Khy woken up with some of his fur shedding off he knew that it was time to take a different approach to what he had done before, although what he was going to do had still eluded him at the moment to the end that it was decided that there would need to be a mental break taken.
"This is just what I needed." Khyrop said to himself with a soft sigh as he let the sunlight wash over his skin and fur giving him the warm that he desired ever so much. His lips were curved by a slight smile that showed how much he was truly enjoying himself. "Mmm I should get a drink."
Khyrop would suddenly stand up and walk forward, his claws clacking on roof tiling as he jumped down from the random person's home he had been sunbathing ontop of. There outside their pool the owner of the home was already tied up by him previously and knocked out, his snack and drink in one prepared for him already. A devilish grin crossed his face and walked over before picking the man up biting into his neck with a loud squish. The loud squelching of bone and flesh between the monstrous maw would soon give way to an audible crunch that would soon be hurried as it was shoved down his throat at the hope he wouldn't alert anyone too close by in this low-density neighborhood.
"Another snack could be good, but I shouldn't waste all day gorging myself." The Archduke commented to himself again as he would soon enough jump into the pool, floating around ontop to enjoy the weather and get the rest of his relaxation done. The warmth once again laying overtop him as his own fur shook in the wind like dancing wisps. "Ahh, what's not to love about this."
If there had been one skill the Bio-android had perfected over years when he was in containment under the rubble it was talking to himself and losing track of time as not to let the madness of it all consume him more than necessary. It happened to him often still and even in the pool there was no exception, though this is exactly what the purpose of such activity was for him. As a state of pure tranquility began to set in there was truly nothing going on inside of him and his mind to the point where it felt like he didn't know where he ended and the world around him began. It was for this purpose that when he felt a sudden presence pure and utter surprise took ahold of Khy.
There had been nothing, nothing at all when suddenly with his eyes closed and ears shut off to everything there was a feeling of energy. It had been everything that he was trying to feel before but now it was suddenly all clear, and not only that but he could even feel where it was coming from and this snapped his attention. Once vision had been restored there was very little time between getting out of the pool and following the presence to its source. A neighbor who had come to bring over a desert and made the mistake of coming into the backyard to check.
"Well with this sudden revelation I suppose I could gorge a little, as a treat." He excused himself before suddenly letting out a loud screech that could only be heard by the person infront of him and any wild animals in the vicinity. "Dessert time."
After a very similar scene to the one earlier that day had been acted out there was was clearly a need for him to find sleep soon so he could try out his discoveries in real training the next day. It had been so clear to him, sure trying to find energy sources is good and will probably be a help to him later, but he had been trying to hard to find them when they were already nearby and all he had to learn was how to make sense of them. It had come to him as he found peace because he was attuned to what was normal and was able to suddenly pick out what was different.
With this in mind he was able to adjust his training plan slightly, he would consume his training vitamins but would try to find the dummy of his as it walked around the maze with them both going casually. With no time limit or thought of attack it felt like he might have a better chance of getting into the mood himself where he'd be able to find it and they could go from there. It only took a few minutes to get it set up in this different way, he put on his headphones and blindfold before turning on the dummy and doing his best to find it. There he was able to replicate the feeling he had in the water as inn that moment he felt nothingness in himself and the world around him.
Each step down the path he didn't know where he was going, all of his major senses besides touch and smell were blocked off for the purpose of testing himself and there was no chance that he was going to let any of it go to waste as he felt a pressure in the distance. Like a compass he would follow after it, twisting and turning down each path with immense satisfaction as it got closer and closer, clearer and clearer. Until finally, he felt another pressure, but not of energy but physical as he had his had placed upon the training dummy finally. It was then that he would take a moment to pause, his hands drifting up and down the training dummy that he had spent so often with in the last two weeks making sure that all of his techniques were up to par. His hands drifted towards his covers and tossed them aside as he stared at it with a smile.
"Well well, looks like I got ya." He teased as he tapped his wing's claw against its head while letting out a few chuckles of victories in his mind. With the way his fangs teased at the edge of his smile it was clear that he was content and was simply reveling in it within that moment. "Well, Let's run it back another time."
This would end up being the standard for the rest of his week, he would keep this exercise going for as long as possible as he attempted to train it to its peak, he would even put heavier and denser headphones and blindfolds on to make sure that it was truly what he wanted it to be. once he was satisfied there he would return with all of his weights on and the dummy set to attack him finally. With this in mind he was able to finally start on the exercise he was trying to do before without any success. It wasn't long before he was in the dark once again with all his senses blocked off as he waited to be attack, however, this time it would be quite different.
His body would dip and weave through the air, his wings not even beating as he used his ki to dodge the incoming attacks as profciently as possible. It all whistled past him as he detly moved closer and closer, each time it hid around a corner it didn't matter as he would be there to block and then suddenly fire his own blast towards it. The game had shifted as he moved closer and closer, his body between states as the bat of light used this to his advantage to get as close as possible. Finally, it had made its fatal mistake and peered around the wrong corner to be blasted through the brain.
"You know I'm almost starting to feel bad for this guy, I've been absolutely dominating." He teased his training dummy as he flew oer to set it back up again for wenever his next session would be, although as he quickly revelaed it would be soon enough. "You get one more break and then its time for the final technique my friend."
